The contact owns a 2023 Hyundai Palisade. The contact stated while driving on the highway at 65 MPH, the contact heard a sound like a shotgun blast. The contact opened the sunroof shade and saw that the sunroof glass had shattered. The contact started closing the shade and the center glass started collapsing inside the vehicle. No warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was taken to a dealer to be inspected, and the contact was informed that the impact from a rock had caused the sunroof glass to shatter. The contact decided to take the vehicle to another dealer. The local dealer was contacted; however, the vehicle was not repaired. The contact was informed by the second dealer that a claim would be submitted for the failure and the failure would be escalated. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 20,296.

The contact owns a 2023 Hyundai Palisade. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, there was a loud popping sound coming from the roof of the vehicle. The contact drove the vehicle off to the side of the road to inspect the roof and became aware that the center of the sunroof glass had shattered. The contact immediately pulled the shade to prevent glass from falling inside the vehicle. The vehicle was not taken to a dealer; however, the contact called a local dealer to schedule the replacement of the sunroof glass. The dealer advised the contact to schedule an appointment with an automotive glass specialist. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 22,602.
