The local dealer was contacted. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was not made aware of the issue. The contact had not experienced a failure. Additionally, the contact stated that the passenger's door failed to unlock as needed. The contact stated that the failure was intermittent. The failure mileage was unknown. Parts distribution disconnect.
The contact's friend owns a 2021 Hyundai Palisade. The contact stated that while driving 70 MPH, the emergency automatic braking inadvertently engaged. The emergency braking system warning light was illuminated. The driver had to manually release the parking brake. Additionally, while driving a stone struck the front windshield causing a crack. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer and the contact was informed that the vehicle was working as designed. The contact was also informed that the windshield was on backorder. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacture was notified of the failure however, no further assistance was provided. The approximate failure mileage was 10,000.
