The problem I have with the car is that the traffic alert did not read all speed limit signs and gave the wrong speed on certain roads. I had the car in the dealership for this repair. I was told that the dealership I purchase the car from did not activate the traffic alert. The dealership activated the traffic alert. I took the car out to make sure and the problem was still showing. The dealership informed me that they would have to contact Hyundai and talk to a technician.
After two weeks I called the dealership to see if they have heard from the Hyundai office. They did not received any call back. The following week I called the Hyundai's customer service and informed them of the problem. I was finally given a case number (18246949). I received a email on July 7, 2021 from TUAN, National Consumer Affairs, Hyundai Motor America. I did update the GPS with a download from Hyundai web site. It corrected the problem regarding the speed limit on the interstates, but not other roads. Now the traffic alert does not read all signs and other problems on the instrument panel and the monitor.
I am still waiting for an answer or solution to the problem.
Update from Oct 5, 2021: Update. I was informed by the case manager that the traffic alert does not read all speed sign. I asked why this was not told to the buyer. Well now, the two temperature gage in the car now read different temperature. The trip meters are different from each other and now the self opening tailgate is not functioning properly. I have call the case manager last week, in September and ask what is going on now. He informed me that he has been trying to contact the repair manager and was not able to contact him yet. He informed me that the manager needs to talk to one of the technical technician and see what they may do to resolved the problem.
10/5/21, I call the case manager and left a message.
Now the problems are: two temperature gages no in synch with each other. two trip meter or not in synch. tail gate starting not to function correctly. The when you walk behind the tailgate it is suppose to open automatically. the stop and go works sometime or when you stop at a read light it will turn the system off. I wonder what else will go wrong with the car or is the odometer correct. My solution is I traded the car off and bought a truck. I do not have confidence in the dealership here. They think you have to have a code for them to know what is wrong, even though you can show the problem, they insist that it is suppose to happen when the technician is in the car. The car is great. It would make a great car for a trip or just going around. I recommend that before buying one check out the dealership and have them show you all the function of the car. Check traffic alert. I do have photo but unable to download on this system.
