Around 55,000 miles, my vehicle began experiencing an issue with hesitation when driving at low speeds, particularly when going into a corner. It felt as though the AWD system wasn’t engaging properly, and power wasn’t being delivered to the correct wheel at the right time. After extensive research, I discovered that the AWD coupler sometimes needs to be replaced.

I took the vehicle to one dealership for their opinion, but they initially couldn’t replicate the issue. After I explained the problem in more detail and emphasized that it was quite obvious, they drove the vehicle again for ten minutes and confirmed that the AWD coupler was indeed the problem. The coupler was then replaced under warranty.

However, I began noticing a slight vibration at high speeds, typically between 65 and 75 mph. A few thousand miles later, I decided to take the vehicle to a different dealership. They confirmed that the propeller shaft is usually replaced at the same time as the AWD coupler. After a few days in the shop, during which they waited for the part, the dealer replaced the propeller shaft, also under warranty.

So far, this seems to have resolved the issue, though I’ll need more time on the open road to confirm.
