The car should be useful for making local journeys in EV mode and with the engine to give range for long journeys. However in the winter there is no heating/demisting available unless the petrol engine is running. This makes it uncomfortable at best and impossible at worst to use the car for the purpose that it was bought - an EV for local journeys.
There is a wholly electric version of this car. That must have an electric powered heater/demister. Why can this equipment not be fitted to the plug-in version?
This is the worst of a whole raft of bad design faults on this car. When I have a week free, I will write about them too. I would definitely not recommend anyone to buy this car.
