My wife complained about something rolling around in the car. I couldn't find anything. Then one day I closed the sun visor on the passenger side and I heard a rattling, bouncing sound. I did it a few more times and there was something, or actually lots of somethings, loose and bouncing around in the headliner. The only thing I can think of is that some rodent has carried acorns up into the space between the headliner and the roof.
Now I know mice can fit through very small holes, but acorns need a fair amount of space, maybe an inch or so. I tried to find a space in the A post or somewhere that they could be getting into.
Either this is a design flaw that leaves a big enough space and in which case it must be happening to other Ionics, or they left out some type of blocking material on this car. In either case it seems like Hyundai should be fixing it!? I'd love to know if anyone else has had this problem? Hyundai says no.
I should mention that this car was less than a year old when this started and is kept in a garage 98% of the time!
