2017 Ioniq acceleration has lag time. Even in Sports mode. My car has a significant lag when I accelerate hard to get in to traffic then it catches and the engine revs extremely high. Have you heard of this before? The engine also occasionally revs when I step on the gas at lower acceleration but I don't get hardly any acceleration until it catches.

The first time it happened it almost threw me in a ditch. The second time I almost rear-ended the car in front of me. The third time I was ready for it and hung on for dear life and made it in to traffic.

I haven't seen any complaints like this anywhere. I just contacted the sales person that sold me the car and she suggested the car needs to be reset. Is this something new with hybrid vehicles?

Thanks for any input.
