Problem was identified as a whining noise under acceleration and deceleration issue under 25mph with no drivability issues. The fluid pump for the cooling system failed and took out the rear motor in the rwd ioniq 5. Pump and motor were replaced under warranty, in which the repair took about 3 weeks. Loaner car was provided and Hyundai corporate called twice to verify my satisfaction. Top tier resolution with zero out of pocket cost.
