After a short drive to my local stores, I was parked in a parking lot with the engine off. I was reading some emails and texts, a few minutes after the radio powered itself off (to conserve battery) there was a loud crack behind the dashboard. WTF was that I thought. There was no smell of electrical burning or any other noticeable smells. It sounded like someone breaking a PCB board. After hesitating, I started the car and everything seemed to be working as normal.
I reported this to my local dealer but did not have it looked at and since then everything thing appears to be normal.
