This was a rental car. The lurching and surging caused two accidents within 40 minutes. The first luckily was a low speed impact. Was driving on a rural road when car sped up with no way of stopping it. Car hit a family's minivan. Second accident occurred when I was driving to get cell coverage so I could report the first accident to the NH state patrol. The car lurched and surged again. This time it happened on an expressway. The car wouldn't stop and caused a 90mph impact collision with a huge greyhound bus like RV. No airbags deployed, crushed in the front end, and was eventually taken by ambulance to a trauma center in Manchester NH.
I went unconscious. Have only glimpses of memory while being treated. I woke up 5 1/2 hours later in ICU...I suffered head, neck, chest, and torso injuries along with a severe concussion. My dog who was riding in the back seat also sustained injury...later having a TPLO procedure done on his rear left knee. He had 22 weeks of rehab to fix his injury...I had months of migraine like headaches and several weeks of contusions over my chest and torso, depressions, dizzy spells, and continuing cervical nerve damage.
