I bought the car in February 2015 and it currently have 48287 miles on it. I noticed recently that the fog light was loose and took it to the local dealership to harness it back in place. They want to charge me almost $700 to replace the bumper and paint it to fix the light. The car has no damage to the bumper so why should I pay to replace the bumper when they can just fasten the light back in place?
I believe the dealership is trying to rip me off because I didn't buy it from them. The car is still under warranty according to Hyundai's website it has bumper to bumper coverage up to 60000 miles. So I called the manufacturer but they refused to contact the dealership because I said that I believe they are trying to rip me off. A friend just bought a 2003 Lexus with 74000 miles on it. She contacted the local Lexus dealership about the headlight panels had a film over them. They told her it was still under warranty so they replaced them with no problem.
Next time I'll buy a Lexus and stop fooling with the want-to-be companies.
