gas must be pumped manually-shuts off frequently w/ fueling
I reported this problem to Hyundai shortly after we purchased the car. For a few years, I was able to fuel the Genesis without it shutting off constantly by placing wooden wedges under the fueling nozzle. Over time, however, the wedges no longer worked. Now, I must hold and fuel the tank manually, having to constantly reposition the nozzle about a dozen times or more in order to fill the tank.
Feel free to contact me or post a message if you have had similar problems with your 2012 Hyundai Genesis. I have the four door model I believe with a V-6 3.3 liter engine. This has been a great, low priced luxury car ($40,000 out the door in Aug 2011). My only complaint is having to stand and manually fuel the vehicle while repositioning the nozzle a dozen times or more each week. This has become quite annoying...
