The contact owns a 2012 Hyundai Genesis. The contact stated that he attempted to use the cruise control feature and the feature failed. The contact stated that he was driving 30 mph and wanted to accelerate up to 40 mph, but when he stopped accelerating with the switch, the vehicle continued to accelerate on its own. The contact stated that he had to disengage the cruise control in order to slow the vehicle down. The vehicle was taken to the dealer for an inspection. The dealer test drove the vehicle and stated that there was no problem. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified and stated that the vehicle was operating as normal.
