It started out as a small spider web crack back in June and then is started to expand and grow to the point where the paint was separating and curling from the heat of the summer. Now it is starting to fall off on it's own and spreading along the fender. It all started with a thumb size crack and now it is the size of my hand.
We are wondering if there is a recall on the paint from Hyundia and have them strip the fender and repaint it from a recall or TSB. Not sure if it was not properly primed at the factory and paint is exposed to the elements and causing it to fall off. We now have the same spider web crack on the front right lower fascia and waiting to see if it does the same thing as the fender.
We are going to call the dealership and see if Hyundai will cover this defect and fix it on their dime. So now my wife is driving this beautiful luxury car with peeling paint on the fender...what an eye sore!
