It started out as a little chip on the hood. I covered it w/fingernail polish & went on. A couple weeks later, the polish was the only thing left. I can barely cover the spot with two hands now. It's starting to bubble up above the wheels now. After it bubbles, it comes off.
I was going to have it fixed but now I'm afraid the whole dang car is going to SHED its paint. My 60 year old auto body friend says there is some kind of chemical reaction going on. I saw the same exact car one day coming towards me at a red light. It also had the same exact missing paint pattern on the hood. So I know its nothing I did.
Called the dealership & they say I'm just now out of the warranty period for paint coverage, 60,000 miles..So now I have to drive a still pretty nice car, that is slowly but surely, turning to not so nice.
Starting to remind me of a blue leopard. If there was such a thing..
