- Fix For Power Seat Being Stuck And Not Able To Move Backwards - Operate the main control to move the seat vertically straight up as far as possible to get as much clearance underneath as possible. Go in through the rear door. Move the fabric flap at the bottom of the rear of the seat out of the way. Reach under the seat - palm up - about halfway up and toward the right. You can feel the switch pointing toward the console. Flick it a few times forward and back to free it up. The switch is a spring-loaded momentary type. You might use a mirror to help you see where it is. The operating tab of the switch is white - nice of them to do that! Good luck

I have taken the car to the dealer on at least 7 occasions - and not sure how many times problem occurs as I work from home and do not drive the car daily. The problem is typically discovered when the seat gets moved to a new setting (such as when another driver tries to adjust and then we discover we cannot adjust the seat at all or when I need to adjust the seat to clean etc). Sometimes the seat will go forward but now backward). I had difficulties driving back home on a trip back from Ohio without laying the seat back because the seat would not go back. It was very dangerous happening when I was out of town and dealership there did not have parts to fix it when it happened. The Alpharetta dealer has made a number of repairs but nothing seems to work. This one feature of the car is a complete lemon and I wish there was a manual override possible to move the seat and not rely on the automated settings to work.
