RE: Case number Case – 8515244/Bragging on my Genesis Dear Dave Zuchowski: Would you help me? I need some direction on a concern I have, but don't know who to turn to. I have been bragging about my 2009 Genesis ever since I bought it 4 years ago. I am a car nut, and have owned many in my 44 years. (see list below) I have owned a number of luxury sedans, and it stands its ground. I love it! I was planning to buy another one next year, but yesterday my transmission when out at 86,000 miles. In service date of Warranty Start Date 12/01/2009 (71 months, 5 days) 14,333 miles per year, 39 miles per day average. I do not abuse my vehicles. I am the second owner, as has been the case with all my cars. I do my research and try to be smart regarding depreciation and reliability. I read many good things about my Genesis. Including $500 million to develop and included 23 months of development work; reliability testing ran for 800,000 miles.http://www.autoblog.com/2008/06/17/let-there-be-technology-whats-under-hyundais-new-genesis-seda/ I am only 11 months outside of my warranty, and 26k miles, and now I need to invest $4,000.00 to keep her going. That is around 40% of my models value given its options and the market in Austin Texas. In my experience with cars, this is not very a very common problem Cutlas 150,000, Z28 96,000, HONDA PRELUDE 120,000, CUTLAS 70,000, MAXIMA 12,000, MAXIMA ,955,000, F150 90,000, INFINITI J30 80,000, LEXUS ES300 100,000, ACURA RL 110,000, TOYOTA TUNDRA 60,000., AUIDI A6 75,000, MINI COOPER 68,000, NISSAN PATHFINDER 106,000 MILES, CHEVROLET TAHOE 111,000 MILES After pleading my case to Round Rock Hyundai, they have graciously offered to help with reduced labor costs for the repair of my vehicle. The cost is down to $3,645.00 This includes brakes and a cracked seal that was also found. Please help James
