Purchased my Entourage van new in 2007 and had only very minor problems. YouTube info indicates problem is passenger seat sensor whose computer module goes bad. An updated seat sensor and module is supposed to be available that will fix this problem. Cost to fix at a dealer is supposed to be about $1,400. This involves pulling back the passenger seat cover, removing the old seat sensor, installing new, and reinstalling seat cover. The YouTube segment showed the owner removing a seat/sensor from a junked car and installing on his vehicle at a cost of $130.
The van has only 49,000 miles on it. Worked only 3 miles from home before retirement. Note the seat belt light stays on with no one in the seat, on the seat, belt bucketed or not bucketed. When the key in inserted the light goes on and stays on. The engine is a 3.8 L not 3.6 as identified initially.
