The contact owns a 2007 Hyundai Entourage. While driving 25 mph, the driver's side seat detached from the base. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where it was diagnosed that the seat needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired; however, the failure recurred. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 158,000. The VIN was not available.
The drivers side seat rocks back and forth which started today. After looking under the seat, two bolts from the seat frame had broken off. Don't understand how a seat has this problem.
For several months now the vehicle continues to display the "airbag" light on without going off. I have been to numerous mechanics who have all told the same thing that the vehicle has a manufacturer malfunction in the electronic system. All mechanics refuse to touch the vehicle due to this serious error. This light appeared without warning while the vehicle was parked and when turned on the airbag light appeared. I am uncertain as to when. In addition, there is a very serious concern with the drivers seat where it is suppose to be welded together, has broken causing the drivers seat to rock freely while driving. This is also and clearly a manufacturer welding error that occurred while driving on an even road. There was no force or extra weight that caused this incident and also all mechanics has said this to be a manufacturer welding error cling for immediate attention that is a serious safety risk to my family and myself. The seat belts are also a safety risk as they do not function properly when fastened. Some are too tight causing uncomfortable driving and often stick into the sliding grove causing non-managability leading to possible incidents while driving. Again, mechanics have stated this is a manufacturer error which is reason we find it necessary to file this complaint with our trusted vehicle manufacturer. Thank you.
Was taking off from stop sign and see broke off metal frame and about threw me in the back seat looked under seat and saw metal seat frame was broke on both sides very scary.
The contact owns a 2007 Hyundai Entourage. While operating the vehicle, the driver's seat inadvertently reclined without warning. The dealer stated that the seat frame was fractured in two different places. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The contact owns a 2007 Hyundai Entourage. The contact stated that while driving 20 mph, the front drivers seat entirely reclined back onto the rear left passengers seat. The vehicle was taken to a dealer where it was diagnosed that the front drivers side seat switch needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired but the failure recurred. The vehicle was taken back to the dealer where it was diagnosed that the seat motor needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage 65,000 and the current mileage was 80,000. Updated 09/09/14
The contact owns a 2007 Hyundai Entourage. The contact sated that the driver's seat separated from the metal base and caused the electrical system to malfunction. The driver side seat would move freely while the contact driving. The vehicle was taken to the dealer who advised that the driver's seat would need to be replaced. The driver's seat was replaced. The VIN was not available. The failure and current mileage was 110,000.
The contact owns a 2007 Hyundai Entourage. While the contact was driving approximately 20 mph approaching a traffic light, the front driver's seat unexpectedly collapsed in a backwards motion as a result of a fractured frame bracket. The vehicle was maneuvered to a safe location and the contact re-attached the frame with a rope as a temporary repair. The same day of the failure, the contact welded the frame bracket for a permanent repair. The manufacturer was not notified of the defect. The approximate failure mileage was 100,000.
