So how do you find out what problems are occurring? For this NHTSA complaint data, the only way is to read through the comments below. Any duplicates or errors? It's not us.
I was just curious of why the forward facing toddler car seats have a tether to anchor the back of the car seat from falling forwards in a crash but the rear facing infant car seats do not have a tether from the head of the car seat to the floor in a vehicle to stop the car seat from bouncing in a crash. This to me seems just as dangerous as the toddler car seat with out a tether. The infant car seats do not have a snug fit no matter how tight you install them or in what vehicle. I had to add straps to my infant carseat base to make it fit without moving more than the recommended one inch. Why is this tether not standard for the rear facing infant car seats? (related vehicle information: Model year=2007, make=Hyundai, model=Entourage).
