The issue is very sporadic. Days or weeks go by with no issue. Occasionally, the car has a mild hard start condition. It takes a longer crank than normal before the engine starts. Usually the same day or within a few days of the hard start condition, the engine stumbles while accelerating. It feels like the engine has hiccups. On days when this occurs, there is also a noticeable general lack of power compared to normal. It gives The sensation that The car is loaded down with weight. The check engine light has never illuminated yet, so I have not bothered taking it to the dealership. Based on past experience, they will not take any corrective action if the check engine light isn't illuminated. The issue is scary. I'm afraid the car will one day stall while driving or I will get hit due to the lack of power while trying to accelerate, since this issue is so very unpredictable.
