I had a brand new 2017 Hyundai Elantra that I leased in May 2017... 3 months and about 9400KM later in August 2017 the car won't start at all after not being used on a weekend... everything on the dashboard comes on, the engine is trying to start but it never started... got the vehicle towed to the dealership not too sure what they did to it and they said they couldn't duplicate the issue as it's starting fine and there are no error codes that they found so they can start looking into the issue further... all they said was they cleaned all the ignition wires just in case the new vehicle coating on it might have affected the issue (which did not make sense to me at all as to why the issue would happen after three months) .... anyhow took the car and then again eight weeks later in October 2017 same issue happened and once again the car was not used over the weekend and it won't start on Monday ... and guess what! the dealership found nothing wrong with it and said they couldn't duplicate the issue as the car was starting and they couldn't find any error codes so they couldn't and today in November 2017 the same issue to my brother's vehicle who owns the exact same vehicle as I do (leased it 3 weeks before I did) and he also had it sitting over the weekend without using it.... so it seems is a common issue with the 2017 Elantra where something is going wrong with the vehicle when it's not being used not sure if something is draining the battery... I wouldn't know as I'm clueless when it comes to car issues and in this case seems like Hyundai is clueless as well.
I thought I'd report the issue on here in case other owners are suffering from the same issue
