When I travel around 35mph and faster, I hear a medium pitched, tea kettle sound that seems like it is coming from the wheels/tires or simply under the car, but I'm not sure. I heard this sound weeks ago and assumed (apparently incorrectly) that it was the tires. I had 4 new tires put on my car, but the sound is still there, and I think it even seems a bit more noticeable now. I had the dealer check out the car and they checked the suspension, breaks, wheel bearing etc. and everything seemed okay. When the car is in park and I hit the gas to increase RPMs, the sound does not occur. It only seems to occur when the car is moving. I thought it might the weather stripping and be related to the wind in some way, but after playing around with the weather stripping a bit and adjusting it somewhat, it seemed to make no difference in the sound.
Any help would be appreciated!
