As of this writing, my local dealership "there is no known fix".

I bought this car used with 98k on it, and car fax, said no problems. A year later, the damn this is now a pain in the ass. Brake lights stay on, no matter if the car is off, they will turn on and stay on while I drive, causing the ecs light and systems to malfunction. They will also turn on even when I am not using the car! I can get them to reset if I push hard on the pedal, on or off, sometimes. Even if I shut the car down, they will stay lite. Add that to fact that engine loses power at random times, just a friggen major problem. If I could get out of the contract with this damn car, it would be on a junk heap!! even if I get it back to running, I sure as hell ain't going to trust it!!
