I was on lunch break at work, I went out to my car to start it, let it idle for a couple of minutes when I could smell something burning but couldn't see anything at the time. I turned off the ignition and opened my driver's door to get out when I saw smoke coming into my car and thick black smoke coming from the hood. I ran to the front of my car and saw flames, the fire dept was there in 2 minutes. The fire dept had to pry the hood open for the latch had melted the hood shut. The fire was put out, the dept claims the cause of the fire was electrical.

My 2012 Elantra is written off.

I would certainly like to know the cost value of a 2012 Hyundai Elantra. I also want to know if any recalls had been made that I am not aware of.
