It hardly never rains in Southern, California. In fact, we are in a drought. Therefore, I never realized there was issue with water sipping inside the driver's side of my car. Starting in early January, It rained constantly and heavily for a few days. I noticed that it started to smell like mildew inside my car. I couldn't understand why. But then I touched the floor carpet. It was completely soaked in both the front the front and back carpets. I thought maybe I had left the one of the doors ajar or a window slightly opened in one of the days it rained, so I completely dried the carpets and detailed the inside of my car and cleared the AC vents of any debri.
However, imagine my disappointment when it rained again. I checked the carpets inside my car and they were soaked again. In addition, I checked the trunk of my car. It was soaked and wet in there too. The inside where the spare tire supposed to be (My car did not come with a spare tire) there was a pool of water.
Here is the thing: my car does not have a sunroof so you cannot place the blame on the sunroof leaking. I inspected the side of my doors to see if the protective was damage but everything is ok. In my opinion, there is definitely a manufacturer's defect.
