CarComplaints.com Notes: So far the 2011 Elantra doesn't have the same volume of transmission problems that 2010 owners are fighting with. It also doesn't have the same pattern of steering and braking complaints that are piling up with the 2013 model year.
We're not saying the 2011 is perfect -- I mean, what were they thinking advertising their MPGs -- but there are worse choices.
It supposedly was a sensor of some type according to the diagnostic. When they replaced the sensor the light is still on and now they say we go to the next possibility which I don't remember and lastly replace the motor. The next possibility costing $1500 dollars. If that's the best the diagnostic machine can do, they invested too much money in the machine that is only slightly helpful.
My check engine light started turning on a couple months after I bought my 2011 Hyundai Elantra. I took it to the dealership and they fixed it. The day right after that, the check engine light came back on. I took it back like 5 or 6 different times and the same thing happened over and over!!! I am just so upset dealing with this!!!
