Smells Like Antifreeze Inside Cabin
2011 Hyundai Elantra
This problem may be covered under warranty. Ask your Hyundai dealer.
CarComplaints.com Notes: So far the 2011 Elantra doesn't have the same volume of transmission problems that 2010 owners are fighting with. It also doesn't have the same pattern of steering and braking complaints that are piling up with the 2013 model year.
We're not saying the 2011 is perfect -- I mean, what were they thinking advertising their MPGs -- but there are worse choices.

I've had this vehicle in 3 times since August 2011 for an Antifreeze smell coming into cabin. 1st time the dealer sprayed a fragrance on the carpet to cover up the smell even though the mechanic that came to see the vehicle did in fact confirm the smell. We are not losing coolant. The 2nd time they ran it up and down the road. they said they could not duplicate the problem. I suggested they look at the cabin air filter and service adviser said it was a 2 hour job and they would not do it. I contacted Hyundai Headquarters but they failed to get back to me. It is currently back at the dealer and Yes you guessed it. They cannot find any problems.
