CarComplaints.com Notes: There's an emerging trend of transmission problem with the 2010 Elantra at fairly early mileage.

So far owners report having the transmission replaced under warranty but that won't hold up for much longer. It may be a bit premature but for now we're putting the "CLUNKER" rating on the 2010 Elantra just to be safe.

Speaking of being safe, you might not be unless Hyundai can figure out why their airbags aren't deploying.

My daughter and or any passenger in that seat always got scratched and or hurt by that door. I do not have any money to fix it. My car payment on this car is VERY expensive and it will not be paid off until 2019... Pissed off to say the least... This is one issue.. I am adding more.

IT HAS NOT JUST CRACKED IT HAS PEELED OFF ON PART OF THE DRIVERS SIDE HANDLE SO NOW YOU HAVE TO BE CAREFUL YOU DON'T CUT YOUR HANDS ON IT.

The "chrome" plating on the drivers door handle cracked. It was razor sharp, and I cut my hand while trying to open the door. Handle replaced at dealer under warranty.
