CarComplaints.com Notes: There's an emerging trend of transmission problem with the 2010 Elantra at fairly early mileage.
So far owners report having the transmission replaced under warranty but that won't hold up for much longer. It may be a bit premature but for now we're putting the "CLUNKER" rating on the 2010 Elantra just to be safe.
Speaking of being safe, you might not be unless Hyundai can figure out why their airbags aren't deploying.

Our 2010 Hyundai Elantra will be sitting in the yard and suddenly the horn start blaring as if emergency button on key fob was pressed. You turn it off and it is not 5 minutes and it is blaring again. This happens about 8 times or more in a day. This will happen maybe everyday for a week and then not happen for 2-3 weeks then begin the whole process again. Took it to the dealer and their computer could not find problem Something is obviously going on. Has anyone else had this issue?
