visit 15 of 16 for stalling. This visit they replaced the fuel pump and sender module a. This will be my longest band-aid before I am in again for stalling. This visit, as I am close to the end of my 60000 mile warranty, I am promised by the service manager that they will continue to fix this problem if it continues again. I will find out in 10 months that this manager is no longer with the company and they will not fix the problem unless I pay, that is visit 16.

On 12/6/11, my car stalled again for the 16th time. Once again, I am told I need a purge valve and canister assemble and a valve canister clove. Hyundai of New Port Richey, Fl has told me that they will not pay for the repair because the car is out of warranty even though the former service manager had told me it would be covered because of the history. Why should I have to be responsible for this repair when they fixed the same problem 13065 miles and 10 months previous?

The car continues to stall as I am fighting with Hyundai about this. It is 01/01/12 and I have not had a solution from Hyundai except for them telling me to pay for the repair. I have driven 302 miles since 12/6 as I am only using the car when 100% necessary. The car stalls when driving and a couple of times almost causing an accident. I have almost been hit from behind 2 times in this month from my car stalling at a green light and another time it stalled while I was crossing an intersection and the bus coming at me had to swerve to miss me. Will it take an accident for Hyundai to take ownership of this problem? Why should injury have to happen to me or someone else before they fix the car or replace it?

I even offered to trade in on a Sonata, but they were offering me very little for my car. As a teacher, I can not bank on what my pay-check will look like (if I have one) next year, so I am trying to be responsible and not getting a car loan. Their response to that was if I lose my job in the first year, they will buy the car back for what is owed on it... like that would help since then I would have NO car...

visit 6 of 16 for stalling. This time they had my car for 8 days, drove 103 miles and could not duplicate the problem. For me, I had the same problem as the past where the only way I can keep the car running was to floor the car and give it constant gas.

While driving, the car would not go unless you floor it and stalled while driving if you did not do this and it would stall when you came to a stop. They stated it was the battery and replaced that and the speedometer assy/inst cluster.

Trip 3 of 16 for stalling. This time, the car dies when driving above 40 mph and then coming to a stop. It still can be restarted. This is the first time they replaced the vavle-purge control and canister assy. They told me that fuel was being purged into the system engine causing it to run rich and stalling. They stated the purge valve sticking canister was full of fuel.

Apparently, Hyundai's have a weakness that when you top of the gas tank, it corrodes in the vapor tank and goes back into the fuel lines. I had to replace the gas tank, vapor tank and all the fuel lines and caps. Royal pain, 3 days before I had to move!! Everyone I talk to says they always top off their tanks. I'd only done it for about 2 months because my needle never says full when I fill up. The dealer said they haven't seen this problem much with American cars. When it clicks - stop pumping!!! $1200 expense!!
