The contact owns a 2006 Hyundai Azera. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the vehicle independently switched from one lane to the other. The contact pulled over and waited for a while before driving to the residence. The contact inspected the vehicle and became aware that the rear driver's side wheel was tilted inward. Upon further inspection, the contact noticed that the subframe was severely corroded with rust holes throughout the center of the subframe. The vehicle was purchased from Liberty Ford southwest, Inc. Located at (6600 pearl rd, parma heights, oh 44130, (440) 888-2600) who was contacted and informed of the failure. The contact was referred to an unknown Hyundai dealer. The contact was informed that the vehicle was not subjected to a recall. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 115,000.
Driving vehicle approximately 30 mph when left rear wheel assembly separated from rear cross member suspension causing the vehicle to sway out of control. Vehicle came to a stop with left rear wheel at a 25 degree angle. Safety recall identified by dealer...
