This car was purchased for our daughter to finish her college years. she drives 2 hours away for school sometimes at night so we wanted a reliable car. exactly 8 days after we drove off the lot in a brand new car, the check engine light came on. So far we know that the transmission sensor and entire computer system went out. The part is not being produced so we are without our car for 4 weeks now. The most frustrating thing is that Hyundai is not in any way giving us encouragement. I called Consumer affairs 5 times now. I was assigned a case number. The I missed a call from my case manager (I was working) now after calling back 3 times she hasn't called me back. Who would want a car that entire computer system has crashed and they are not offering to buy it back! I have NO confidence in the customer service we have received.
The ONLY pro is they have provided us with a stinky rental car that gets worse gas mileage.
