Let's see, where do I begin...
To this date, I've had this car for exactly 6 years now. A lot of fun mini road trips and some fun encounters while driving for Uber/Lyft. I put on quite a bit of miles on the car at first but quickly realized this car isn't a good idea for that. Anyways, after having the car for 4 yrs and 122,000 miles on it, just 22k miles over my warranty, I am on my way to work which is about a half hour away from my home and I can hear my car sounding like a tractor. All of my coworkers looked at me and were like, something is wrong with your car! After trying to put oil in my car and seeing it go right through to the ground, I realized I couldn't drive it home.
It turns out I blew a piston in my engine. A month and $2200 later I have a "new" engine in my car. (5k miles on it when I bought it off of car-part.com) Still to this day, after getting my regular oil changes, I've been told that I am missing about a quart of oil in the car. I think Hyundai made their engines poorly which is why I am still having the same issue. So this car definitely burns off oil more than it should. So make sure to check the oil level on this car after every 1,000 miles on it or sooner. But don't take my word for it.
