I bought the car with just over 48,000 miles on it. After driving it a month, I was involved in an accident. I rear ended a car, which had just rear ended the car in front of it. However my car fared the worst of them all. The car skidded as I mashed the brakes, in the slide it turned a little and the front drivers side of the car took most of the impact. The front end of my car crumpled up, fluids poured out, there were some really bad smells, and parts flew all over (all from my car.) It is unclear at the time if the car is a total loss, but I'm guessing it is. I was driving and my partner was in the passenger seat, no airbags deployed! We were lucky enough to walk away with only scrapes and bruises. I'm not a crash expert, but I feel like the airbags should have gone off in our scenario. I wasn't the only one, all of the first responder's on the scene said the same thing. We were lucky that the accident was rather minor. My top speed was 35mph at the most, and I slammed my brakes at about a full car length from the car in front of me. Please consider the safety of yourself and any passengers if you are looking into this car.
