Spark plugs had just been replaced; however, the engine had been rough idling and knocking for two years. Acceleration was sluggish and I'd read several other reports of Hyundai Accent's bad engine coils. Sure enough, a week after spark plugs had been changed (at 95,000 miles), my check engine light started flashing with a severe engine misfire in cylinder #2. The coil pack was toast.
