my dealership, palmers hyundai on airport blvd in mobile, al said I can make an appointment to come in to have the abs fire hazard addressed, but there is no guarantee that they will have the part to fix the recall problem because they don't receive the item in bulk. I would have to make appt, come in and wait until my turn and then see if they would have the part to be able to fix it that day
Truck release not functioning which is being recalled on Elantras. Both sun visors broken. Will not stay up and swing when down. Have been hit on the head while driving
I received this notice of a safety recall for my 2012 Hyundai accent in late October. Hyundai stated that a remedy would be available in late November. Now it's late December, and I've heard nothing from Hyundai. This safety recall sounds urgent and incredibly dangerous; I don't feel safe driving or parking my vehicle anywhere because according to them, it can catch fire at any moment. Despite this, Hyundai hasn't provided any more solutions other than parking my car outside, which doesn't solve the issue with driving it and frankly isn't any more safe. Hyundai isn't responding quickly enough at all for how urgent this issue is, even though several vehicle fires and thermal incidents have already occurred due to this very issue. It's ridiculous that they state the vehicle is safe to drive, yet they admit that the vehicle can catch fire while it's being driven. At this point, the government needs to step in and hold Hyundai accountable, for the sake of public safety. They need to be made to provide a solution that actually solves the problem, even if it isn't cheap to do so.

After I see I have a recall in the NHTSA webpage, I take my car to the dealership in torrance, ca. As a result I was told "they can't do anything and can't provide a solution or an Agency to clear out this issue". the problem is that: "if the compressor accessory is connected to the 12V outlet to inflate a tire will possibly cause an overheat at the car outlet". I stated: "I don't have such accessory and I have a regular spare tire". after that was confirmed I requested to clear the recall since I don't have that accessory and only that accessory cause the problem to the outlet. That didn't change their attitude to provide a solution and the technician raymond said: "we are sorry but there is nothing we can do". in my opinion doesn't make sense to tag a car "unsafe with a recall" for an external accessory that is not even in the car or in the market. Solution 1: create a permanent sticker and set next to the 12V outlet "do not connect devices that consume more than (what ever are the amps or watts that cause the overheat) solution 2: dissemble the 12V outlet and re-assemble with the correct torque add to the recall "minor issue, car performance is not in danger"
My car would not start all of a sudden even though all dash lights came on with key in, battery was checked and deemed fine and starter was confirmed as good. Was towed to my mechanic, ran diagnostics, nothing wrong came up and they were able to start it right up. Now home and 10 days later and I have no start issue again. Stationary in my condo lot both timers.
Fake recall notice sent by route 46 Hyundai by M&M advertising, Inc. When checking the VIN there were no recalls. Scam/misleading mailer. The ftc previously sued Toyota dealerships for similar mailings.
Takata recall I am at 130,000 miles and there is no oil leaking, but every time I get an oil change it just disappears. Even if I'm not driving 1000 mi/month, it is completely dry within a few weeks of getting an oil change. I have to constantly put oil in my car in between oil changes every 3 months.
The car is less than 8 years old, maintnance properly, there is no where visible to check transmission fluid during a routine fluid change and when I had the transmission checked and the fluid it was fine. All of a sudden 3 days later my transmission is stuck in 4th gear now it wont move back or forward. I have noticed that a lot of Accent owners have had this same problem and some sooner after having theirs than mine.
RPM accelerates from time to time, once the vehicle is completely parked. Needles shoots up to 5 very quick. Also, while the car is operating, it seems it wants to accelerate. Its happened several times.
I was washing my 2012 Accent in may of 2013 and I noticed what I thought to be dirt above the hatchback window. Upon further inspection I noticed that it was a rust spot coming up from under the paint and clear coat. There was only a spot about the size of a number two pencil point. As of today( 4-13-14) there are five spots of rust coming up all of various size and now I found one on my driver side door. Has anyone else reported rust coming from under the paint ? which to me means the recycled metal when smelted did not remove the rust during the process.
