Check engine light has come on for the third time since September, with no sign of any engine trouble. I had sensors replaced, among other things (that probably didn't need to be replaced), and I have checked the gas cap. Nothing is broken or in need of repair. Prior to these 3 instances, my check engine light came on and it was related to software, but that was back in 2012. I am just wondering why the check engine light keeps coming on. It's very frustrating.

Check engine light keeps coming on with no engine problems. Was told it is due to the evaporator system or gas cap. Replaced gas cap (cheapest thing) never went out and still illuminated. Never had a car that has had so many little things go wrong with it.
