This data is from the NHTSA — the US gov't agency tasked with vehicle safety. Complaints are spread across multiple & redundant categories, & are not organized by problem.
So how do you find out what problems are occurring? For this NHTSA complaint data, the only way is to read through the comments below. Any duplicates or errors? It's not us.
I am the owner of a 2004 Hyundai Accent. There is a small hook that has become detached from underneath the floormat on the driver's side. There is a small hole in the floormat that is supposed to keep the floormat in place. Because the small hook has become detached the small hole in the floormat slides of the hook thereby causing the floormat to move forward. I have not experienced any unintended acceleration, but I think this could become a problem. I don't know if this is a similar problem Toyota has experience in some of their vehicles, but I thought it should be brought to your attention.
