While driving on the road vehicle will not go to full speed unless the consumer placed the accerlator pedal totally down on the floor. Dealer had not been able to duplicate the problem.
While attempting to merge with traffic at 50 mph consumer depressed the accelerator which became stuck, and the vehicle did not respond. Engine revved, but there was no acceleration. Vehicle was nearly rear ended on three occasions. This vehicle had three transmissions replaced since 7-2-2003.
The motor over-accelerates even when the gas pedal is not pressed. This once caused my vehicle to move forward from a stopped position without my pressing the accelerator. It was a very dangerous situation considering the fact that I was at a stop light. *
