Consumer drove the vehicle to the dealer for routine maintenance, and mechanic determined that both front driver and passenger side ball joints needed to be replaced due to corrosion.
NHTSA recall 02-V-341-000: On certain passenger vehicles, registered and operated in the state O.F New York. During winter months, large quantities of salt are used to de-ice roads. This road salt could result in corrosion of the front lower control arms. Dealer will replace lower controls and balls joints, but refused to do it the front alignment. Consumer stated was not her fault vehicle was manufactured with defective parts.
