While following behind my wife while she was driving the 2007 Hummer H3, I noticed the High mounted Third brake light was inoperative and not working. I am a DIYer, first thing comes to mind is simple. Head to auto supply and get replacement bulbs. WRONG!! This unit is a factory only item and it is LED with a built in circuit board, the whole nine, I attempted to rig up some bulbs into the housing but they were really dim and barely illuminated. The fix: Report to your local GM dealership's parts counter, they will be more than willing to get you the correct replacement unit for $200.00 just the part handed to you in the box. If you enjoy ripping automotive interiors apart (without breaking the plastic trim clips) then "Have at it", I did...
