The contact leased a 2006 Hummer H3. While turning into a driveway at approximately 15 mph, the front driver's side tie rod failed and punctured the tire. The frame was damaged and the vehicle struck a telephone pole. A police report was filed. The frame had to be replaced. The contact sustained mid back, lower neck, wrist, and knee injuries. The vehicle was returned to GM. The current and failure mileages were 44,000. Updated 11/17/08 updated 11/24/08.
