I bought my Hummer H3 in August of 2009, used at a Chevy dealership that is a sister store of Chevy/Hummer dealership. My 2006 Hummer was fine until the cold weather hit. The first incident occurred around the first week of November. I was leaving to go to a friends house around 9:00pm I went outside however to turn my heat and my heated seat on, and about five minuets later I went out to my car to leave and my car was freezing with no fan motor on at all. After staring at my fuse box and reading the crappy owners manual for around and hour, we came to the conclusion that no fuses had been blown. The next day I drove my vehicle to the Chevy garage. The service man checked it out and said that he would take care of it. A week later I was driving back to pick up my Hummer up. On the way home from the dealership I got about five miles up the road and my car was filling up with smoke. I then returned my car to the dealer. A week later again I picked my car up, drove fine and get this I even had heat for about a month. Until it was around christmas and the same thing happened, dropped my car off and a week later picked it up. Two weeks later and it was around the middle of January, the same thing happened. I took the car to the garage yet again and the fixed the same thing that they have been fixing, no change and no investigation on the problem. The fifth time happened around five or six days after I picked my car up from the previous time getting fixed, only this time they brought it to their sister store the one with the Hummer certified technicians. I finally got my car back two weeks later. Then around the last of the cold weather it happened again it was the beginning of April. I got it back and had no problems, not even with my A/C, which I run all summer long. Now this November was the first time it happened again since last April, and it's going to be the last.

Heater A/C fan motor quit. The dealer repaired the link as he said it had gotten hot and burnt out. I can't find invoice at this time, but believe it to be around $90. Service done by whitehead Chevrolet of truth or consequences, nm. The service mgr said this was a common problem.

I own a 2006 Hummer H3. My fan blower quit working. Upon investigation I found the blower motor resistor and the connector to be welded together. I had to replace both items because they were melted together. This has to be a fire hazard and after I googled it to figure out how to fix it I was shocked at the number of people who have had the same problem. I can not believe this has not been a recall issue.

The contact owns a 2006 Hummer H3. While driving at 70 mph under normal conditions the oil and air bag warning indicator lights turned on and the vehicle began to decelerate. The contact turned the ignition off, and on within 5 minutes, drove the vehicle and failure didn't reappear. The dealer was unable to diagnose the failure. Also, the dealer stated that it could be an electrical failure but they couldn't confirm it. The current and failure mileage were both 13,000.

All interior had to be removed and dried out. Electrical problems occurred that required four batteries over 12 months. Dealer stated it was my problem, because I had a small inverter for computer. : the contact stated while driving on 5 separate occasions the message center read, power reduced and asc failure. The vehicle would not exceed 35 mph during the power failures. The vehicle was pulled off the road without incident and towed to the dealer on 3 occasions. The other 2 occasions the vehicle was driven to the dealer. It was determined the computer that controls all electrical functions failed; however this did not correct the problem. The manufacturer was alerted.
