Honda 2022 Ridgeline RTL-E. I bought this on March 26th 2022 - this a HAS A DEEP STORGE COMPARTMENT USED FOR Tailgateing parties and cold ice storage, plus normal storage.
My grandson opened the storage area and a toxic Smell came out. He was overwhelmed with the smell and caused him the cough and choke, with burning eyes. He's okay now. I have tried to air this out but no luck.
If this is not fixed ASAP, someone could get really sick or die if a child gets locked in. The tail gate isn't locked automatically from factory. Young kids can open the Tailgate and play hide and seek game by opening their parents truck. The ( Ridgeline RTL-E ) because they didn't set the Tailgate to Lock Automatically..
THE CHEMICAL IS SOME TYPE OF RESIN SEALANT. I do have a appointment at the end of April. I will get back after appointment.

Update from May 25, 2022: Update..manufacturer and dealership
Have done nothing .They said it's normal, I told them what happened to my grandson with the smell and said give it some time and come
back to see if smell is there. Rhey would nor replace the door that is made out of
fiberglass I WENT BACK FOR SOMETHING ELSE AND TOLD THEM THE SMELL IS STILL THERE ,BUT NOT AS STRONG. THE SMELL
IS NOW BLENDING IN WITH THE TIRE SMELL.
I will see if the Heat of the summer makes it worse .it's 5/25/2022 and bought vehicle 3/26/2022
