"Sales men said my truck is ready for pick up"
I was so happy when I got the call! I brought my whole family to to experience this new vehicle purchase, only to find out it turn into a nightmare! I can see the gap of the fender flares standing 6 feet away from the truck! So I started to dig deeper and found out more concerns but that's another story. I clearly told the salesmen their is a huge gap between the flares and the fender and I don't think it's safe to drive it home. I can already tell it's gonna detach. He said just take the truck home and if you have any problems bring it back. I had my entire family with me and we had plans to go out so I did, but now am going to double check their installation. Wow, more problems!!!
The screws attaching the flares was all stripped and some weren't even present! I was furious that he said it was ready but it clearly isn't! Of course I complained on the the lot. I told him to go get his manager and document this. 3 other managers came out and took a look at it and they didn't say anything but the look on their face sad it all. They knew it will be coming back for repairs. It's been there twice for the same problem within a month and now it will go back the the 3rd time. It happen when I went fishing driving at highway speeds 65mph.
Now my friends are calling me Steve the flapper! I'm not sure what to do, it's gonna go in for the 3rd time. The 3rd time I think it's related to the cold because it is winter now and I can see the 3M tape failing. I really think this is an engineering defect, I don't want to go back every year to fix this 50k truck!
Is there a lemon law I can report or something? Currently the truck has 3800 miles and is less than a year old.
Please help and thank you.
