Smartphone connection (USB port in dash/console) frequently loses connection, losing apple Carplay. Only way to reconnect is to completely turn off the vehicle and restart.
Audio volume fades lower and higher volume using USB Apple Car Play. More prevalent when moving, but still happens parked. Tried many cables, including Apple OEM cable. iPhone 12 Pro Max. Phone does not have the problem in my 2021 Accord or any other vehicles with Apple Car Play.
Honda Service says it is my phone. It cannot be if the problem only happens in the 2020 Ridgeline. No issues in any other vehicle with Apple Car Play. Disabled Audio Speed Sensing Volume control, problem still exists. It's also noticeable using Bluetooth, just not as bad.
What a horrible Infotainment system.
