- The Office of Defects Investigation (ODI) has received 173 Vehicle Owner Questionnaire (VOQ) reports of failing connecting rod bearings in Model Year (MY) 2018-2020 Acura TLX, MY2016-2020 Acura MDX, MY2016-2020 Honda Pilot, MY2018-2019 Honda Odyssey, and MY2017-2019 Honda Ridgeline vehicles equipped with the 3.5 liter V6 engine.? Recall 23V-751 was issued by the manufacturer to address this type of failure within certain production ranges of these vehicles.? All 173 VOQs display failures that have characteristics consistent with those addressed in recall 23V-751 but are out of the scope of the recall. ODI is opening this Recall Query (RQ) to assess the severity of the alleged defect in vehicles not included in recall 23V-751.? ODI will also assess the scope of recall 23V-751.
