My Ridgeline alarm went off at 3:30 in the morning for no apparent reason at the beginning of February. The dash lights and headlights blink and flash and the ignition clicks and cycles randomly for no reason. I have to unhook the battery to keep it from acting up. Took it to the local dealer and the alarm soon went off for them, too, for no reason. They said it needs a control unit, smart power. Part # 38320-T6Z-A31. The part is on back order and was expected to come around March 7 but now they're saying April 11. Cost will be around $700 to $800 with everything. I did research online and this seems to be a common problem. Seems to me like a good candidate for a recall.
I've owned 4 Honda's and really like them over all, but this is getting a little frustrating. Hopefully Honda will recall this part soon. They usually do pretty well with recalls.
