The paint on my Ridgeline is in a horrible condition. I have rust spots all around the 4 side windows, and the truck's surface is FULL off tiny scratches. It looks like I drive through a field of evergreen trees every day. My family has had a wide range of vehicles in the past, but none of them come close to the deterioration of my Ridgeline's paint- and whats even more surprising is that this became noticeable after 18 months of ownership!
I've read online of many other owners having similar issues with their Honda's black paint, and Honda has even had recalls on this for specific vehicles, but not for the Ridgeline... why for one and not the other? Perhaps they think the Ridgeline market isn't big enough for them to worry about, but in my opinion, a person who purchases a Ridgeline over a GM or Ford is probably a pretty loyal Honda customer, and thus Honda's priority should be to their loyal customer base.
I have taken the car to the dealer who blames the issue on my driving habits and on rock chips. It is insulting to put the blame on the owner for this issue.
